Churchwardens and PCC

Churchwardens are elected each year.  The Church Wardens are here to help the Church to be a vital part of its neighbourhood – the parish of St Peter’s covers most of the area between the River Cole and the Stratford Road that is in the City of Birmingham and Hall Green.  They are the Bishop of Birmingham’s officers for making sure that the welcome, the worship and the ministry of the church is as good as it can be.

Our present churchwardens are Colin Dunbar and Julia Tortise. They can be contacted via the Parish Office

The Parochial Church Council (PCC) is the governing body of St Peter’s, with the Vicar and Wardens.  Members of the Council are elected for 3 year terms and an election is held every year at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting in May.  They are also trustees of the charity which is registered with the Charity Commissioners, called The Parochial Church Council of the Ecclesiastical Parish of St Peter Hall Green Birmingham – Charity number1131758    www.charitycommission.gov.uk

They are responsible for the mission, ministry, worship, financial administration and buildings of St Peter’s.  They include the Vicar and Curates as well as the Church Wardens.  Elected members in 2025-26 are:
